Mohamed al-Fayed’s son has said the multiple allegations of sexual abuse made against his late father have “thrown into question the loving memory I had of him”. The former Harrods owner has been accused of multiple rapes and sexual assaults by dozens of women, who claimed he preyed on young women working at the company.

The managing director of Harrods says the London department store is “deeply sorry” for failing employees who say they were sexually assaulted by late owner Mohamed Al Fayed.

Harrods apologized to its employees on Thursday over the late owner Mohamed Al Fayed's alleged sexual abuse. The London department store was bought by Al Fayed, an Egypt-born businessman, in the mid-1980s.
