The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said owners of 154,000 Jeep plug-in hybrid electric SUVs should park outside and away from buildings or other vehicles until they get recall repairs completed.

Jeep issued an urgent warning and recall to 194,000+ hybrid SUV owners worldwide that the vehicles should be parked in the street currently rather than the garage on account of the fact that they can catch fire with the ignition turned off.

The progressive plug-in hybrid SUVs from Stellantis have been recalled after multiple vehicle fires have been reported.
