The Indiana Pacers want to round out their roster as they enter training camp on Tuesday. With a few spots up for grabs, Indiana elected to sign a former lottery pick with a successful NBA return on his mind.

Former Duke star Jahlil Okafor was the #3 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft and he certainly had his moments, but he hasn’t had a lot of success. Actually, he’s been out of the league since 2020-21 when he suited up for the Detroit Pistons.

The Pacers watched some basketball workouts from forward/center Jahlil Okafor before deciding to sign him, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Okafor is signing a deal for training camp with a shot to make the standard roster.

Jahlil Okafor is still just 28 years old and the Indiana Pacers are hoping he has a little life left in his game.
