A week after a tough loss and some questions around his starting job, Gardner Minshew (WSU) did just enough to help guide the Las Vegas Raiders to a win over the Cleveland Browns at home. The veteran quarterback completed 14 of 24 passes for 130 yards. He had no touchdowns and no turnovers.

The Las Vegas Raiders were riding high entering Week 3 after completing a 10-point road comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. They came crashing down in Week 3 back at home, losing 36-22 to the previously 0-2 Carolina Panthers right after their opponent benched 2023 first overall pick quarterback Bryce Young earlier in the week.

When QB Gardner Minshew and the Las Vegas Raiders match up with the Cleveland Browns in Week 4 on Sunday at 4:25 PM ET, they will be facing off against the Browns' 15th-ranked pass defense, which is allowing 195.7 passing yards per contest.

Speculation began to swirl following the Raiders' 36–22 loss to the Carolina Panthers in which Minshew was benched the in fourth quarter in favor of second-year quarterback Aidan O'Connell. Pierce, who was critical of his team's effort against Carolina, also didn't rule out starting O'Connell when asked by reporters on Monday.
